The Davis line is one I haven’t done much research on yet. However, the evidence of marriages indicates the Davis clan and the Wright’s were a very tight-knit group.

Perry Edward Davis was born 10 Mar 1872 to Maxey Malachi & Pharaby (Brothers) Davis in Iowa. O n 29 Sep 1897 in Sac City, Sac, IA, he married Carrie Belle Olmsted b. 22 Oct 1874 in Davenport, Delaware, NY to Nathan and Anna Mae (Groat) Olmsted. Carrie was a sister to Jennie Emily Olmsted.

Together, Perry and Carrie had four children. Beulah Frances: b. 29 Mar 1899 in Toledo, Tama, IA – 13 Oct 1967 Sac City, Sac, IA; Elmer: 1904-1927; Howard: 1909-?; and Earl: 1922-?. The family moved around quite a bit. They began in Sac City, moved to Glenwood, Pope, MN, where Beulah would marry her cousin, Amos McKinley, on 3 Apr 1920. Perry and Carrie and children then moved to Center, Monona, IA, before settling back in Sac City, IA, where Amos and Beulah Wright had a home.

Perry passed away on 14 Sep 1958 in Sac City, Sac, IA. Carrie followed almost two years to the date, passing away on 17 Sep 1960. They were laid to rest in Sac City, IA.
